For the 61st year, the annual design fair, Salone del Mobile 23 was held in Milan, Italy last month. The six day event attracted 307,418 visitors from 181 countries and amongst the 2000+ exhibiting brands we saw 16 Estilo brands setting up stalls, showrooms and exhibitions in Italy’s design capital. Estilo director, Frank represented Estilo in Milan this year, and reported back to our team throughout the week.
Here's what we discovered:
MERIDIANI - New Oscar Sofa - Meridiani’s new range focuses on functionality and balance with the simplicity of linear and rounded shapes at the core
RAKUMBA - New Argyle, Plume, Volute, Haru + Sol -Part of the Rakumba display, held in Brera design district, featured this spectacular instillation of the Metropol Pendants, displaying their ability to make a statement when hung in groups
PEDRALI - New Anemos Table - The Pedrali display saw bold colours and the release of two new tables as well as new variations on old favourites
TOM DIXON - New Cone Floor Lamp, Cone Portable - Tom Dixon introduced a number of new lights which included the launch of their portable lamps range
WALTER KNOLL - New Maaru Sofa, Temno Table - Walter Knoll takes on a sculptural form with the reveal of their new dining table, Temno
SABA - New Teatro Magico Low Tables - Saba extends it Teatro Magico range with a new finish in the dining table and the introduction of the interlocking Teatro Magico low tables
DERLOT - New Tsukkiko Lamp - Derlot gives us a first look of the lamp designed by Alexander Lotersztain in collaboration with Kojima Shōten, the esteemed Kyoto-based lantern makers
LACIVIDINA - New Agetti, Dorothea - The off site display mixed old and new laCividina products, with particular focus on the new Agetti Armchair and Dorothea Lounge along with one of our favourites, Osaka
